Tina and the Talking Star: A Bedtime Story
Once upon a time, in a quiet village surrounded by mountains, lived a little girl named Tina. She loved lying in the grass at night and looking up at the stars. Every evening after dinner, she would take her favorite red blanket, go to the backyard, and whisper wishes to the twinkling sky.
One night, something magical happened.
As Tina gazed up, one of the stars twinkled brighter than the rest. Suddenly, it wiggled, wobbled, and whoosh! It zipped down from the sky like a shooting star and landed right in her garden.
Tina gasped. The star wasn't just glowing—it was smiling!
“Hello, Tina!” the star said gently.
Tina blinked. “Y-you can talk?”
The star chuckled, “Only to kind children who believe in magic.”
A Night of Wonder
The star introduced itself as Lumo, the Messenger Star.
“I travel across the sky collecting dreams and spreading hope,” Lumo explained. “And tonight, I chose you to come on a little adventure.”
Before Tina could even respond, the star twirled once, and a soft golden light surrounded them both. In an instant, they were floating above the trees, higher than clouds, flying through the night sky!
They zipped past birds asleep in their nests, waved at the moon, and danced with glowing fireflies high above the world.
“Wow!” Tina whispered. “It’s so beautiful.”
A Planet That Had Forgotten Joy
Lumo took Tina to a tiny dark planet where no children laughed and no flowers bloomed. “This planet used to sparkle,” Lumo said, “but everyone forgot how to be kind and share.”
Tina thought for a moment and said, “Maybe they just need someone to remind them.”
With Lumo’s help, Tina sang songs, shared stories, and taught the children on that planet how to care for each other again. Flowers bloomed, laughter returned, and slowly, the darkness faded.
The stars above began to twinkle again.
Time to Say Goodbye
Soon, it was time for Tina to return home.
Lumo floated beside her and said, “You have a heart full of light, Tina. Keep sharing it, and the world will shine brighter.”
With a final sparkle, the star flew back into the sky.
Tina awoke the next morning in her bed, her red blanket wrapped around her, and a tiny glowing pebble beside her pillow. It sparkled just like Lumo.
She smiled.
From that day on, whenever Tina saw someone sad or lonely, she shared her light—just like Lumo taught her.
Moral of the Story
Kindness is a light that travels far—even across the stars.
